Easy on the Stomach

"For the past five years, our sweet cat just couldn't keep anything down and started emaciating, badly. We're tried so many brands, prescriptions, single sources, slow conversions, small meals, one large meal, sunrise/sunset feedings and so on. "My kitty is 19, going to be 20 in January 2026. He doesn’t like dry food any more, so I mostly give him a wide variety of wet food. This cat food is perfect for him because it’s a thick stew texture-it’s not common to find something this consistency in cat food. I try to change up the textures of his various foods so he stays interested and keeps eating. This also helps with getting more fluids in his system. He has loved all four flavors I have given him, but he seems to enjoy this beef flavor the most. Most cat food is labeled as seafood or fish or chicken flavors, so it’s nice to have something totally different that he enjoys."

"I was told that as soon as you bring a kitten or a cat home from a rescue, they suddenly have very picky. Tastes, and my kitten was no exception. I tried every wet cat food on the shelf and he just stuck his nose up at it until he had the grass fed beef rustic blend. I will say I wish that it was a little easier to get everything out of the container. I do feel like there is quite a bit of waste. I think I need a specialized spatula to get it all, but I won’t stop buying and it as it’s his favorite thing. As is the freeze dried raw mix."

Hi there, Our Rustic Blends are shelf stable until they are opened! This means you can store them in the cabinet, like human stews, until you are ready to serve! Once opened, our Rustic Blends can be stored in the refrigerator for four days for freshest flavor!

We do not use any 'gum' ingredients in our Rustic Blends and instead we use Agar Agar. Our Agar Agar is an excellent addition to our wet recipes and we believe this is a superior compared to traditionally used ingredients such as Carrageenan, Xanthan Gum and Guar Gum. Agar agar is natural, nutritional and has better mouthfeel for pets, especially cats! Agar Agar is sourced from Red Seaweed (Algae). We use Agar Agar for a number of wonderful reasons! Agar Agar helps with the consistency of the blend, it keeps the ingredients evenly distributed. It is a high fiber and low calorie alternative to gelatin. We view this as a much higher quality, natural ingredient.
